In Series of KIP: Business and Subsidy Update, today we are going to share with you benefit of SUB-SCHEME OF INTEGRATED SCHEME FOR AGRICULTURAL MARKETING.
The Scheme for AGRICULTURAL MARKETING INFRASTRUCTURE major objectives to develop marketing infrastructure to effectively handle and manage marketable surpluses of agricultural and allied produce including horticulture livestock, poultry, fishery, bamboo, minor forest produce and such like produce supportive to enhance farmers’ income and To promote innovative and latest technologies in post-harvest and agricultural marketing infrastructure.
• 35% grants-in-aid to eligible project cost in general areas and @50% of eligible project cost in the North East States including Sikkim and difficult areas namely Himalayan States (i.e. Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand), State notified ITDP areas, Islands and SC/ST entrepreneurs subject to max. of Rs.10.00 crore per project.
• The grants-in-aid is credit linked but not back-ended
Entities will within 60 days of disbursal of the first instalment of loan, submit to RO, NABARD, through its controlling / nodal office.

• Rate of Subsidy (on capital cost) for Women 33.33% and Max. ceiling Rs.50 Lakhs.
• Rate of Subsidy (on capital cost) for Other Categories 25% and Max. ceiling Rs.37.50 Lakhs.
Individuals, Group of farmers / growers, FPOs/FPCs registered under respective companies Act/cooperatives societies Act/ societies registration Act (with minimum 50 number of farmer members); Partnership/ Proprietary firms, Companies, Corporations; Nongovernment Organizations (NGOs), Self Help Groups (SHGs); Cooperatives, Cooperative Marketing Federations; Autonomous Bodies of the Government, Local Bodies.
• Eligible marketing infrastructure, Primary processing for which subsidy under AMI is available are those such as cleaning, cutting, de-pudding, de-cortication, dehusking, de-sheller, Grain cleaner, specific gravity separator, mini rice huller.
• Mini Oil expeller for extraction of edible vegetable oil (as per FSSAI but without refining) from indigenous oilseeds (viz. Mustard seed, Sesame seed, Ground nut, Linseed, Mahua, Safflower, Niger seed Oil, Coconut, Almond and Olive only) and Mini Dal mill for primary processing of pulses, which includes cleaning, grading, sorting, splitting, packaging and labelling for promoting direct marketing, are also eligible.
• Capacity of 50-5000 MT for all categories of promoters across the country and Capacity of 50-10000 MT for State agencies, in all the States/UTs are eligible for claiming subsidy under the sub-scheme.
• Stand-alone standardized cold storage units as per standards promoted by NCCD up to 1000 MTs is allowed as per the MIDH cost norms for all the eligible beneficiaries subject to eligibility of the subsidy.
