We are going to share with you Subsidy schemes available on setting up an Animal Feed Plant.
Animal feed is an important input to animal agriculture, and is frequently the main cost of the raising or keeping of animals. Animal wellbeing is highly dependent on feed that reflects a well-balanced nutrition. Farms typically try to reduce cost for this food, by growing their own, grazing animals, or supplementing expensive feeds with substitutes, such as food waste like spent grain from beer brewing, this lead to weaken the immune system of animals.
Animal feed plants are set up to produce quality feed, which leads to well-nourished animals. To promote and encourage animal feed plants government provide financial support through following subsidy schemes.
Financial Assistance/Subsidy/Benefits Available:-
1. Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) (Central Government Scheme):
The scheme provides financial assistance on setting up business of Animal Feed Plant to companies, partnership, FPO, individual, MSME, etc. in form of Interest Subvention of 3% per annum for maximum period of 8 years on the term loan sanction by the banks and credit guarantee to those projects which are covered under MSME defined ceilings and the guarantee coverage would be up to 25% of the credit facility available to the borrower.
Note: The project shall be eligible for loan up to 90% of the estimated/ actual project cost from the Scheduled Bank and Interest subvention shall be applied on entire Loan Amount without any maximum cap limit on loan amount.
The Credit Guarantee will not be provided to other beneficiaries who are not covered under MSME norms.
2. Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy, 2020 (HEEP) (State Government Scheme):
The policy is applicable to the all entities setting business of flour mill having MSME and HUM Registration. It provides financial support in form of various subsidy schemes such as:
1. Electricity Duty Exemption: Max. 100% exemption on electricity duty for 12 years.
2. External Development Charges Exemption: Max. 100% exemption on charges paid for external development which includes Change of land use (CLU) charges, labor cess for the construction of building etc.
3. Stamp Duty Refund: 100% exemption on stamp duty paid on purchase of land for silo project.
Note: There are several other schemes under HEEP issued by state government, the quantum of benefits available under these schemes depend upon the block as specified by the government under which the entity falls.
Time limit to apply under HEEP:
Within 3 Months from the commencement of commercial production
