PUNJAB GOVERNMENT SCHEME ON WAREHOUSE ASSISTANCE

In Series of KIP: Business and Subsidy Update, today we are going to share with you an informative series i.e., ASSISTANCE FOR WAREHOUSE” UNDER THE INTEGRATED LOGISTICS & LOGISTICS PARK POLICY 2023
WAREHOUSE
WAREHOUSE means any premises (including any project place) conforming to all the requirement including manpower specified by the warehouse development and regulatory authority by regulations wherein the warehousemen takes custody of the goods depositor and includes a place of storage of goods under controlled conditions of temperature and humidity. Through this policy govt. of Punjab aims to attract investment in cold chain facilities, Silos storage and warehousing infrastructures.
Quantum of Assistance:
- Investment subsidy reimbursement
Investment subsidy by way of reimbursement of 100% net SGST on intra-state sales for 10 years with a cap of 125% FCI. - Stamp Duty Reimbursement
100% exemption/ reimbursement from Stamp Duty on purchase or lease of land and building - Electricity Duty Exemption
100% exemption from Electricity Duty for 10 years up to 100% of FCI.
Note: For providing warehouses services minimum 3000 sq. ft. area required at ground level as per policy.
Note: The benefit of this policy will also be extended to the existing units which would make at least 50% additional investment in fixed assets of the original Fixed Capital Investment (FCI).
Special incentives in Border District:
Warehouses in border district except the ones handling unprocessed and/or non-packaged and/ or non-value added food grains or commodities shall be 100% exempt from CLU/EDC charges.
- The required road width for warehouse shall be 80 feet with minimum area of 1 hectare in border area.
Applicability:
The policy will be applicable for 5 years from the date of notification i.e. 27.02.2023 and can be extended further by state.
