The Gujarat Government has setup this policy to support development/ enhancement/ up gradation of logistics facilities with the objective to promote private investment in logistic sector, adequate supply of skilled manpower, employment generation and increase the use of technology to boost the efficiency.

 

Under this policy the major sector includes are logistics parks, Inland container depot, container freight station, air freight station, private freight terminal, air cargo complexes, cold chain facility, warehouse, silos and truck terminals.

 

Under this scheme, The department of commerce unified with the state government will provide the assistance to setup the warehouses, cold chain facilities etc. in order to support the private sector which will reduce their cost burden and enhance the private sector to invest on these projects by getting the fiscal incentives as provided by the government.

 

Who Can Apply under this scheme:

1. Proprietorship
2. Partnership firm
3. Cooperative Society
4. Company
5. Trust,
6. Non-Government Organization (NGO).

 

Conditions to be met for availing subsidy:-

1. The unit Should have obtained a separate Letter of Intent or Letter of Approval as prescribed by the competent authority.

2. The unit should have separately new identifiable fixed capital investment that means in house separate premises/ building and shall have to maintain separate books of accounts.

 

Financial Assistance/Subsidy/Benefits Available:

The Quantum of Assistance as under would be provided as per the given below terms:

1. Capital Subsidy for development of Logistics facilities:-

25% of Eligible Fixed Capital Investment subject to maximum Rs. 15 Crore.

2. Interest Subsidy:-

7% on eligible term loan for 7 years subject to maximum Rs. 50 Lakhs p.a. and minimum 2% to be borne by unit.

3. Stamp Duty:-

100% reimbursement of stamp duty paid.

4. Exemption of electricity duty:-

100% exemption of electricity duty paid on electricity bills and it continue for 5 years.

 

There are other various incentives available to support the business and promote the Logistic and warehouse in the state.
