Investment Opportunity in Cold Chain Project
Hello Businessman/Investor,
Ministry of Food Processing Industries of Govt of India has invited the “Expression of Interest” for Set Up “Integrated Cold Chain Project and Value Addition Infrastructure”.
The last date of submission of Application for Expression of Interest (EoI) is 15th December 2023 up to 5:00 P.M.
Application Fees is Rs. 20,000/- (Not Refundable)
A. Who Can Apply:
Partnership/ Proprietorship Firms, Companies, Corporations, Cooperatives Society, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and NGOs.
B. Business Activities Covered:
- Integrated Pack-house (with mechanized sorting & grading line/ packing line/ waxing line/staging cold rooms, etc.)
- Ripening Chambers
- Cold Storage Units
- Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage
- Frozen Storage/Deep freezers
- IQF line, Tunnel Freezer, Spiral Freezer, Blast Freezer, Plate Freezer
- Vacuum Freeze Drying
- Milk Chilling / Bulk Milk Cooling/ Automatic Milk Collection Unit/ Milk Processing Unit
- Poultry/Meat/Marine/Fishery Processing Unit
- Packaging line for chilled /frozen/temperature controlled products
- Food Irradiation unit
- Refrigerated/ Insulated transport
- Pre Cooling Unit(s)
- Mobile pre-coolers
- Retail refrigerated carts, temperature controlled solar powered retail carts
- Reefer boats (maximum 10 numbers to be assisted per project)
- Refrigerated Containers including multi-modal container units
- Renewable/ alternate energy technologies (solar, bio-mass, wind etc.) for the project.
- In-house product testing laboratory.
C. Pattern of Financial Assistance:
For General Area – 35% of Eligible Project Cost
For SC/ST and FPO – 50% of Eligible Project Cost
D. Maximum Grant-in-aid :
The Maximum Grant-in-aid would be Rs. 10.00 Crore Per Project and will be provided on Cost of Technical Civil Work and Eligible Plant and Machinery.
E. Basic Eligibility Criteria:
- The Net worth of Applicant should be at least 1.5 times of the Grant Applied for.
- Bank Loan Sanction Letter along with Appraisal Note.
- Minimum Investment of Applicant should be at least 20% of Total Project Cost.
- One Applicant can apply for one application.
- Expansion/upgradation of existing units in the same premises will not be entertained
F. Documents Required for Submitting the Proposal:
- Detailed Project Report
- Net Worth Certificate duly signed by CA.
- Final/In principle letter for Bank Term Loan along with Appraisal Note.
- Business Registration Certificate
- Bio – Data of Promoters
- Land related documents (if on lease then Agreement for 15 Years)
- Plant and Machinery Quotation.
- Item-wise and cost-wise details of technical civil works envisaged duly certified by Chartered Engineer (Civil).
- Item-wise and cost-wise details of Plant & Machinery envisaged duly certified by Chartered Engineer (Mechanical).
G. Release of Grant:
Project need to be completed within 24 Months from the date of issue of approval letter.
Submission of Claim for Grant will be made in 3 Equal installments from the date of issue of approval letter will be as:
For 1st Installment – Within 8 Months
For 2nd Installment – Within 16 Months
For 3rd Installment – Within 24 Months
