In Series of KIP: Business and Subsidy Update, today we are going to share with you benefit of “Revision In Guidelines For The Biomass Programme Under The Umbrella Scheme Of National Bioenergy Programme For Duration Of FY 2021-22 To 2025-26 (Phase-I) Notified On 02.11.2022”
In continuation to the Administrative Approval for implementation of Biomass programme under Umbrella Scheme of National Bioenergy Progamme for duration of Fy 2o2l-22 to 2025-26 (Phase-l) notified on 02.11.2022, the following clauses of the Guidelines for the Biomass Programme are amended/dropped :

Performance criteria for availment of CFA:
The Performance testing of Briquette/Pellet Manufacturing Plants would inter-alia imply the following: –
Operation of the plant at an average of 80% of rated capacity measured over continuous period of l0 hrs for eligibility to receive 100% CFA.
In cases, where developer fails to operate the plant at minimum 80% of the rated capacity during performance inspection of the plant by the inspection agency, the below-mentioned pro-rata-based disbursement will be made based on the percentage output achieved.
For example:

| CUF <50% | 0% |
*NOTE 1: If 73% CUF – CFA would be made on pro-rata basis i.e. (100* 73)/80=91.25% of eligible CFA.
NOTE 2: Investor need to fulfil the above-mentioned criteria to get maximum subsidy under this scheme.
NOTE 3: Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) = Total Briquette/pellet generation in l0 hrs (in metric tons)/ [Rated Capacity of plant (in metric tons per hour) x l0 Hrs].
NOTE 4: Both Non-torrefied and torrefied pellet manufacturing plant, will be applicable for plants using new machineries for exclusively manufacturing Pellets only (torrefied or non-torrefied) and not both Briquettes and Pellets by the same machine.
