Subsidy on Cold Storage in Haryana
Due to boost in FMCG Sector and Food Processing, the demand of cold storage is increasing day by day.
So, if you are planning to set up a Cold Storage facility then you can take the following major subsidy and incentives benefits as:
A. Interest Subsidy on Bank Term Loan:
You can take the benefits of Agri Infra fund scheme of Central Govt. on Bank Term Loan. You just to need prior approval under AIF and can avail the benefits of;
Interest Subsidy @ 3% on Bank Term Loan of up to Rs. 2.00 Cr. For 7 Years.
Interest Subsidy @ 3% on Bank Term Loan of up to Rs. 2.00 Cr. For 7 Years.
B. Capital Subsidy:
You can Plan Capital Subsidy on the cost of construction as per storage capacity.
1. Storage Capacity Up to 5000 MT.
If you are planning Cold Storage Capacity up to 5000 MT then you can take the capital subsidy under MIDH scheme as:
Assistance for setting up of new cold storage infrastructure will be available only to multi-chamber cold storage units with technologies which are energy efficient with provision for thermal insulation, humidity control, advanced cooling systems, automation, etc. up to 5000 MT capacity. In this context, for cold storages, 3.4 cubic metres (cum.) (120 cubic feet (cft.) of chamber volume shall be considered equivalent to one MT of storage capacity.
Subsidy Pattern:
i) Cold storage units Type 1 – basic mezzanine structure with large chamber (of >250 MT) type with single temperature zone:
Cost Parameter: Rs. 8,000/MT, (Max 5,000 MT capacity)
Credit linked back-ended subsidy @ 35% of the cost of project in general areas and 50% of cost in case Hilly & Scheduled areas, per beneficiary.
Cost Parameter: Rs. 8,000/MT, (Max 5,000 MT capacity)
Credit linked back-ended subsidy @ 35% of the cost of project in general areas and 50% of cost in case Hilly & Scheduled areas, per beneficiary.
ii) Cold Storage Unit Type 2 – PEB structure for multiple temperature and product use, more than 6 chambers (of < 250 MT) and basic material handling equipment.
Cost Parameters: Rs. 10,000/MT, (max 5,000 MT capacity)
Credit linked back-ended subsidy @ 35% of the cost of project in general areas and 50% of cost in case Hilly & Scheduled areas, per beneficiary.

Credit linked back-ended subsidy @ 35% of the cost of project in general areas and 50% of cost in case Hilly & Scheduled areas, per beneficiary.
2. Stroage Capacity (5000 MT to 10000 MT):
The assistance will be given as subsidy @ 35% of the capital cost of project in general areas and 50% in case of NE, Hilly States & Scheduled Areas for a storage capacity above 5000 MT up to 10000 MT.
