A scheme i.e. “Subsidy on Integrated cold chain and Value addition infrastructure under Haryana Agri-Business & Food Processing Policy.
Objective of the scheme for Integrated cold chain
To provide integrated cold chain, preservation & value addition infrastructure facilities without any break from the farm gate to the consumer.
The scheme provides financial assistance –
- For Farm Level Infrastructure
- For Distribution hub
- For Refrigerated vans/ refrigerated trucks/ insulated vans/mobile insulated tankers
- For Irradiation facility
Financial Assistance/Subsidy/Benefits Available :
- Capital Investment Subsidy :
- For storage infrastructure, packaging houses, transportation infrastructure, value addition, processing infrastructure & irradiation facilities :
- Support to only the ‘B’, ‘C’ & ‘D’ category of blocks.
- @35% on project cost but subject to a max. of Rs. 5 crore.
- For reefer vehicles and any other movable infrastructure :
- Support to only the ‘B’, ‘C’ & ‘D’ category of blocks.
- @50% on project cost but subject to a max. of Rs. 50 Lacs per Project & upto 4 reefer vehicles /movable infrastructure per project.
- For infrastructure in form of separate processing and packaging line for milk of indigenous breed of cows :
- Support to only the ‘B’, ‘C’ & ‘D’ category of blocks.
- @45% on project cost but subject to a max. of Rs. 5 crore.
Notes :
- The grant will be provided only for technical civil works and eligible plant & machinery.
- Any developer availing the Government of India SAMPADA Yojana (Scheme for Agro-Marine Processing and Development of Agro-Processing Clusters) will not be eligible for availing this scheme.
Eligible Entities for Integrated cold chain
- Proprietorship Firms
- Partnership Firm
- Companies/Corporations
- Cooperatives
- Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
- Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs)
- Non-Government Organisations (NGOs)
- Central/State PSUs
Eligible facilities
- Integrated Pack-house (with mechanized sorting & grading line/ packing line/ waxing line/ staging cold rooms, etc.)
- Ripening Chambers
- Cold Storage Units
- Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage with value addition
- Frozen Storage/Deep freezers with value addition
- IQF line, Tunnel Freezer, Spiral Freezer, Blast Freezer, Plate Freezer
- Vacuum Freeze Drying
- Milk Chilling / Bulk Milk Cooling/ Milk Processing Unit (including packing) for which temperature control is necessary during some part of the processing
- Poultry/Meat/Marine/Fishery Processing Unit
- Packaging line for chilled /frozen/temperature controlled products
- Accessories/support infrastructure/ utilities such as fixed racking system in Cold/CA storage, fork lifts, reach trucks, bins, insulated fish boxes, pallets, dock levelers, mezzanine flooring, ETP, boiler, CIP unit, Depodder, Peeler, Slicer/Dicer, Blancher, sorting/grading line, etc.
- In-house product testing laboratory
- Reefer vans
- Food irradiation facility
Period of Applicability for Integrated cold chain
The Scheme is applicable with effect from 04.06.2018 for a period of 5 years.
So, if you are planning to set-up unit under the aforesaid categories of Integrated cold chain and Value addition infrastructure. Then, you should plan accordingly and take maximum benefit out of the above said subsidy scheme.
