Good news for UP Warehouse Businessmen , those who are interested in warehouse business in UP can avail the benefit of this scheme i.e., “Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy, 2022”.
UP Government has setup this policy with a vision to upgrade and improve the existing warehousing and logistics infrastructure, attract private investments in setting up logistics facilities in UP, large scale employment generation and establishing smart logistics practices by increasing the use of technology.
The UP Government will identify the existing storage facilities owned by various Government agencies and would promote their upgradation by private entities.
Under this policy, the major sectors are storage facilities such as warehouses, silos, cold-chain facilities, logistics parks & ports and other facilities.
Financial Assistance/Subsidy/Benefits Available to UP Warehouse:
Subsidies have been divided into Front-End & Back-End Subsidies:
- Front-End Subsidies:
Eligible Projects would get Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy, 2022 before commencement of commercial operations.
- Back-End Subsidies:
Eligible Projects would get these subsidies only after project is completed & commercial operations are started.
(A) FRONT-END SUBSIDIES:
- Stamp Duty Exemption : Exemption of Stamp Duty on purchase of land/land taken on lease for a period of 10 years
is available as follows:
- 100% Exemption in Bundelkhand & Poorvanchal Region & regions covered under Taj Trapezium Zone.
- 75% Exemption in Madhyanchal & Paschimanchal Region. (except Gautambuddha Nagar & Ghaziabad)
- 50% Exemption in Gautambuddha Nagar & Ghaziabad Region.
Note: Bank Guarantee of equivalent amount must be submitted Stamp & Registration Department to avail subsidy on Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy, 2022.
- Exemption on Land Use Conversion Charges & Development Charges : 75% of Land Use Conversion Charges & Development Charges shall be exempted.
Note: Bank Guarantee of equivalent amount of the concession to be submitted to the relevant State Authority/ Agency to avail subsidy on Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy, 2022.
(B) BACK-END SUBSIDIES:
Amount of Capital Subsidy will you get under subsidy on Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy, 2022.
- 15% of Eligible Capital Investment subject to max. Rs. 5 Cr. (Rs. 10 Cr. In case project is set-up in Designated Logistics Zones)
Note : Areas nearby key infrastructure projects like upcoming Jewar International Airport , Regional Domestic Airports, etc will be notified as Designated Logistics Zones.
- Electricity Duty Exemption : 100% for a period of 10 years under subsidy on Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy, 2022 .
- Quality Certification Cost : 50% of cost of quality certification upto max. 5 Lakh/project.
- Skill Development Subsidy : Rs. 1000 p.m. per trainee for 6 months subject to max. 50 trainees p.a. for 5 years per project.
Eligible Entities who can avail subsidy on Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy, 2022 :-
- Proprietorship,
- Partnership firm,
- Cooperative Society, Company, Trust,
- Non-Government Organization
- Limited Liability Partnership
Eligible Storage Facility Project:
Period of Applicability of Scheme to avail subsidy on Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy, 2022 :- :
The Policy will be applicable for period of 5 years from the date of its notification.
