WDRA Registration Steps
You can follow these general steps for register a warehouse under the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA):
1. Understand the requirements:
First of all, update yourself with the guidelines, regulations, and requirements described by the WDRA Authority for warehouse registration. This will help you prepare the necessary documentation and fulfilment of the required criteria.
2. Documentation
Line up the required documents and information necessary for the registration process. These may include:
- Proof of ownership or lease agreement for the warehouse premises.
- Details of the warehouse infrastructure, including its dimensions, storage capacity, and facilities.
- Fire safety certificate from the appropriate authority.
- Environmental clearance certificate, if applicable.
- Financial statements and bank details.
- Identity proof and address proof of the applicant.
- Insurance of Building and Stock.
3. Submit the On-Line Application:
Fill out the registration application form provided by the WDRA. Ensure that all the information provided is accurate and complete. Attach the required documents to the application form.
4. Pay the registration and Security Fee:
Pay the registration fee as specified by the WDRA. The fee amount may vary depending on factors such as the size and capacity of the warehouse. Further fee has been exempted on Agriculture Godown. Applicant need to deposit the Security Fee also as per the provision of WDRA.
5. Verification and Inspection:
After submitting the application, the WDRA Authority will review your documents and may conduct an inspection of the warehouse premises to verify compliance with the prescribed standards and regulations.
6. Registration Certificate:
If your application and warehouse meet all the requirements, the WDRA will issue a registration certificate for your warehouse. This certificate will authorize you to carry out warehousing operations under the purview of the WDRA.
