CENTRAL GOVERNMENT SCHEME
Dear Businessman/Investors,
In Series of KIP: Business and Subsidy Update, today we are going to share with you benefit of the Central Government Scheme on “MISSION FOR INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT OF HORTICULTURE BY MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE & FARMERS WELFARE”
Objectives
The main objectives of the Mission are to promote the holistic growth of the horticulture sector, including bamboo and coconut, through regionally differentiated and area-based strategies encompassing research, technology promotion, extension services, post-harvest management, processing, and marketing—aligned with the comparative advantages and diverse agro-climatic conditions of each state or region.
The Mission aims to encourage farmers to participate in horticulture activities through a cluster-based approach, thereby enhancing overall production, improving productivity, increasing farmers’ income, and strengthening nutritional security.
Additionally, it focuses on improving productivity by ensuring the availability of quality germplasm, superior planting material, and promoting efficient water use through micro-irrigation systems.
