AHIDF Animal Feed Manufacturing Units
The role of infrastructure is crucial for the overall development of any country. Since the Indian economy heavily relies on the agriculture sector, the importance of developing infrastructure in this area has become even more significant. Infrastructure development is essential for creating more opportunities to increase farmers’ income and to boost animal husbandry and dairy projects.
Recognizing this need, the Government of India has announced the establishment of the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) with a budget of Rs. 29,110.25 crores.
This fund will be available until the financial year 2025-2026, up to 31st March 2026, as part of the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (Self-Reliant India Campaign).
Project Covered Under AHIDF :
The Main feature of AHIDF is that it covers multiple projects that will facilitate a large number of businessmen to take the benefits of AHIDF.
Type of project coverage under AHIDF.
Eligible Projects (For all beneficiaries):
A. Dairy Processing Units:
1) Ice Cream unit
2) Cheese manufacturing unit
3) Ultra High Temperature (UHT) Milk processing unit with tetra
packaging Facilities.
4) Flavored Milk manufacturing unit
5) Milk Powder manufacturing unit
6) Whey powder manufacturing unit
7) Any other milk products and value addition manufacturing unit.
8) Manufacture of any equipment and machinery required for dairy
processing.
9) Bulk-Vending System, Parlor deep freezer, cold storage.
10) Milk transportation system (Refrigerated van/insulated tankers).
11) Lab & Equipment, new technology, innovations, product development.
12) Renewable energy infrastructure plants, trigeneration systems.
B. Animal Feed Manufacturing Units:
1) Mini, Medium & Large Animal Feed Plant
2) Mixed Ration Block Making Unit
3) By Pass Protein Unit
4) Mineral Mixture Plant
5) Enrich Silage Making Unit
6) Animal Feed Testing Laboratory
